The Kremlin has said it currently has no plans for further humanitarian operations similar to the one in Oleshky, Kherson region, where a ceasefire was in effect from October 27 to November 1. Meanwhile, the human rights commissioners of Ukraine and Russia are exploring the possibility of continuing humanitarian missions.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement.

“As for continuing this practice, each individual case is unique. At present, there are no similar plans, nor are there any similar initiatives,” Peskov said.

According to him, the interests of civilians, their safety and the provision of humanitarian assistance will be given priority in each individual case.

As Russia’s human rights commissioner Yana Lantratova previously reported, both sides fulfilled their commitments during the preparation and implementation of the humanitarian mission, allowing aid to be delivered to local residents and ensuring the safe, voluntary departure of those who chose to leave the city.

According to Lantratova, efforts to explore the possibility of further humanitarian missions, including regular aid deliveries, are ongoing, as residents remaining in Oleshky still need support.
