        Missile attack on Kyiv: the death toll has risen to nine

        For more than 14 hours now, the aftermath of a Russian missile attack in Kyiv’s Shevchenkivskyi district has been underway, severely damaging residential and educational infrastructure. Rescuers have been removing debris from the rubble of a destroyed building throughout the day: the number of Russian victims on June 23 has already risen to nine.

        This was reported by the head of the Kyiv International Volunteer Committee Timur Tkachenko.

        According to the KMMA, nine people were killed and 25 others were injured. One of the victims was an 11-year-old girl who died with her mother.

        In total, more than 30 objects were damaged, including 27 residential buildings, three educational institutions, and almost 40 cars. Over the course of the day, more than 600 cubic meters of debris were removed from the site using 31 vehicles. The State Emergency Service, police and other services are involved in the rescue efforts.

        Humanitarian headquarters are operating in Shevchenkivskyi district: 72 victims have already applied for assistance under the Care programme, another 23 for compensation through eVodnovnya and 16 for rental support.
