Journalists have published previously unknown video footage showing Russian atrocities in Bucha

Radio Liberty has released previously unknown CCTV footage showing the shooting of 70-year-old Bucha resident Volodymyr Rubail on March 4, 2022.

The recording shows that Russian soldiers first wounded Rubail with the first shot, and when he staggered, they shot him in the head at the entrance to a supermarket.

The man’s body remained lying on the asphalt while Russian soldiers looted a grocery store.

Russian soldiers broke the glass of the entrance door, entered the store, carried out the loot, and loaded it onto armored vehicles. Some of them even used carts to transport the stolen goods to the captured houses.

According to Radio Liberty, soldiers from the 234th Airborne Assault Regiment from Pskov, led by Sergeant Vladimir Borzunov, may have been involved in the killing.

In a telephone conversation with Radio Liberty, Sergeant Borzunov confirmed that it was Russian soldiers who killed Rubailo, but denied that he and his subordinates were involved.

Volodymyr Rubailo was born in 1951 in Bucha, served in the Soviet army, worked for a long time as a driver for a forestry enterprise in Irpin, and raised two daughters. He was killed on Yablunska Street in Bucha on March 4, 2022.
