A Russian jet-powered drone attacked a residential area in Kharkiv’s Osnovianskyi district overnight on August 23. Eight people were affected, including a 15-year-old boy.
The consequences were reported by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Syniehubov and the regional State Emergency Service.
The strike caused fires in two private homes and an outbuilding. The flames covered a total area of approximately 250 square meters.
State Emergency Service crews quickly extinguished the fire. Nearby homes and a vehicle were also damaged by the blast.
According to regional authorities, five women aged 23, 28, 38, 39 and 74 and two men aged 28 and 38 were injured. A 15-year-old boy also suffered an acute stress reaction.
Medical workers provided everyone with the necessary assistance. State Emergency Service psychologists also worked at the scene.
