Ebrahim Azizi, head of the Iranian parliament’s National Security Commission, said Ukraine had allegedly become a “legitimate target” for Iran. He made the statement on the social network X.
Azizi wrote that Ukraine had “effectively become involved in the war” by allegedly providing drone support to Israel.
“By providing drone support to the Israeli regime, failed Ukraine has effectively become involved in the war and, under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, has turned its entire territory into a legitimate target for Iran,” he wrote.
