In March 2025, Kharkiv suffered 42 attacks from Russia, a significant increase from 21 attacks in February. Over the course of the month, 172 air raids were sounded in the city, which averaged five alarms per day.
This was reported by Mayor Igor Terekhov.
‘Recent weeks have shown a change in Russian tactics. ‘The Shakhtys fly into Kharkiv’s airspace in groups and conduct combined strikes on residential areas, critical infrastructure, and business facilities. And in 30-40 minutes, when rescuers, medics, police, and utilities are already working on the ground, the enemy targets them a second time. It’s a cold and cynical calculation: more victims, more destruction, more human fear,’ Terekhov said.
In March, two people were killed in Kharkiv as a result of Russian strikes, 99 were wounded, including 12 children.
