In Kyiv, on the occasion of National Flag Day and Independence Day of Ukraine, the sculptures of the city’s founding children, located on Poshtova Square, were dressed up.
The author of the sculptural composition, Volodymyr Zhuravel, posted the photos on Facebook.
‘Traditionally, the children were dressed up for the holidays! Thank you to everyone who protects and helps Ukraine! To everyone who brings victory of good over evil closer! To everyone who brings light!’ Zhuravel said.
He noted that the embroidered shirts were made by Kateryna Zhuravel and her sisters. Kateryna also sewed the costumes.
The chevrons on the cheeks, the author of the composition noted, are from the units where his brothers, Dmytro and Ruslan Zhuravel, serve.
