        HUR’s “Ghosts” destroy Russian MiG-29 fighter at the Kacha airfield in Crimea

        The HUR special unit “Ghosts” destroyed a Russian MiG-29 fighter at the Kacha military airfield in Crimea. During the same night, the Irtysh airfield radar complex near Simferopol was also hit.

        The special unit “Ghosts” of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR) destroyed a Russian multirole MiG-29 fighter at the Kacha military airfield in Crimea, according to a statement by the Defence Intelligence. During the night of December 4, the Irtysh airfield radar complex near the temporarily occupied Simferopol was also struck.

        HUR noted that its special units continue systematically degrading the air-defense system of Russian forces over the occupied peninsula by destroying radars, air-defense systems, and now fighter aircraft.

        The intelligence service also recalled that on September 21, 2025, the “Ghosts” for the first time in history destroyed two Russian Be-12 “Chaika” anti-submarine amphibious aircraft.
