High-level NATO military delegation visits Ukraine for the first time

A high-level NATO military delegation has visited Ukraine for the first time since the start of the full-scale war. The parties discussed Ukraine’s participation in NATO exercises and the development of joint initiatives.

According to Deputy Head of the Office of the President Pavlo Palisa, the delegation was led by Admiral Pierre Vandier, NATO Supreme Allied Commander Transformation.

During the meeting, the sides discussed involving Ukrainian troops in future NATO exercises in the role of a simulated adversary (Red Team). Palisa noted that previous participation of Ukrainian units demonstrated modern warfare methods to allies, with Ukrainian teams showing a significant advantage in training scenarios.

Special attention was also given to the development of the NATO–Ukraine Joint Analysis, Training and Education Centre (JATEC). Ukraine is reaching the final stage of deploying its command systems, expanding analytical capabilities, and contributing to the scaling of training programs.

The Office of the President подчеркнул, что Украина уже выступает не только как потребитель безопасности, но и как её производитель.

Palisa thanked Admiral Pierre Vandier and the delegation for the visit and their readiness for practical cooperation.
