Russia’s Ministry of Defence has accused Ukraine of violating agreements on a mutual ceasefire on energy facilities. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces denied the allegations and said that the Russians were spreading false information.
The Russian military said it had shot down Ukrainian drones near Cape Tarkhankut in the temporarily occupied Crimea on the night of 26 March. According to them, the drones were allegedly meant to hit the ground equipment of the Hlibivske gas storage facility.
The Russian Ministry of Defence also reported that on the morning of 26 March, a drone attack in the Bryansk region left some settlements without electricity due to damage to a high-voltage line. On the afternoon of 25 March, in Kursk region, they claimed that drone strikes caused a cascading power outage at a number of substations, leaving more than 4,000 consumers without electricity.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stressed that on 25-26 March, the Ukrainian Defence Forces did not carry out any drone attacks on Russian energy facilities.
‘The military department of the aggressor country is spreading false and baseless accusations to prolong the war, continue false propaganda and typical Russian attempts to deceive the world,’ the Ukrainian military said.
