Ukraine’s defence forces have hit a plant for the production of attack UAVs in the Elabuga district of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russia).

This military facility is located more than 1,000 kilometres from the state border of Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.

‘Units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defence Forces, on 23 April 2025, carried out a fire attack on the production of attack UAVs (Geranium-2, Shahed type and others),’ the statement said.

The company’s production capacity is about 300 different UAVs per day. At present, the UAV final assembly shop is known to have been damaged.

‘This strike is Ukraine’s just response to the Russian strategic military facility, which is used to support armed aggression against Ukraine and terror against civilians in Ukraine,’ the military concluded.
