As of 16:00 on 22 March, intense fighting continues. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 70 combat engagements have been registered since the beginning of the day.
In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy attacked near Vovchansk, and the battle continues. In the Kupyansk sector, Ukrainian defence forces repelled an attack near Zahryzove. In the Lyman sector, 13 firefights took place in the areas of Nadiya, Dibrova, Kolodyazy, Torske, and five are still ongoing. In the Siversky sector, Ukrainian defenders are holding back an enemy attack in the area of Bilohorivka.
In the Toretsk sector, the invaders attacked 13 times in the areas of Diliyivka and Toretsk, four clashes are ongoing. High enemy activity is observed in the Pokrovsk sector – 18 attacks were registered near Panteleimonivka, Vodiane Druha, Yelizavetivka, Novoukrainka and other localities, four engagements are still ongoing.
In the Novopavlivka sector, six attacks were registered in the vicinity of Kostiantynopil, all of them were repelled. In the Orikhivsk sector, the enemy made one unsuccessful attempt to attack in the area of Shcherbaky.
Two enemy attacks continue in the Kursk region, with a total of 16 firefights, 11 air strikes and 183 artillery attacks recorded over the day.
Russian troops continue to carry out air and artillery strikes in Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions.
