Police have provided new details about the Russian strike on a scheduled minibus in the Nikopol district. At around 8:00 a.m., an FPV drone struck the roof of the vehicle as it was traveling toward Dnipro from a village in the Chervonohryhorivka rural community.

This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

Five passengers were killed in the attack — four men and one woman.

Seven other people suffered serious injuries. Police officers and rescuers transported them to hospital. Their final diagnoses and the severity of their injuries are still being determined.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, commenting on the attack, said a Russian FPV drone had struck an “ordinary intercity minibus” near Nikopol.

“There was no military logic, just another act of brutality,” he said.

Zelenskyy also reported Russian strikes on transport and critical infrastructure in other regions. According to him, a locomotive of a passenger train was attacked in the Mykolaiv region, damaging a railway station and a diesel locomotive. Nearly 170 passengers were evacuated, and no one was injured.

The president also said Russian forces struck an electric locomotive in Kovel, while the Kherson, Donetsk and Poltava regions also came under attack.
