The Supervisory Board of SE “NNEGC Energoatom” has issued a statement regarding recent corruption allegations involving certain employees of the company. The announcement was made by the company’s press service.

The statement emphasizes that the Board is treating the situation “with the utmost seriousness” and will convene a special meeting to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the facts and determine further actions. Possible measures include an independent audit of the relevant operations, as well as a full review of internal procedures and control systems within Energoatom.

“The Supervisory Board is committed to full transparency, accountability, and the highest standards of integrity within the organization, as well as to cooperation with government authorities,” the statement reads.

The company noted that any violations, if confirmed, will receive the appropriate legal response.

On November 10, investigative actions were carried out at the Energoatom headquarters by representatives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO).

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky commented on the exposure of a large-scale corruption scheme in the energy sector and stressed the need for decisive action against corruption and greater transparency in strategic state-owned enterprises, including Energoatom.

“The energy sector, every sector. Everyone who has built schemes must receive a clear procedural response. There must be verdicts,” the Ukrainian leader said.

Zelensky added that government officials must work together with NABU and law enforcement, “working in the way that is necessary to achieve results.”

The President also underscored the necessity of effective anti-corruption measures and the inevitability of punishment.
