Despite loud statements about readiness for a ceasefire during the May holidays, Russian forces have significantly increased the intensity of combat operations, concentrating their main efforts on the Pokrovsk direction. This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi.

According to Syrskyi, the enemy continues its attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses and reach the administrative border of Dnipropetrovsk region, despite lacking operational or tactical prospects. Every day, the Russian command throws new units into battle, sacrificing its soldiers and reporting illusory gains.

In response to the situation, the Commander-in-Chief spent the day working with Ukrainian brigades defending this frontline sector. He held detailed briefings with unit commanders and made decisions to provide additional supplies of ammunition, drones, electronic warfare systems, and reserves. Special emphasis was placed on strengthening strike UAV capabilities.

Despite constant pressure and assault attempts, Ukrainian forces are inflicting losses and forcing the enemy to retreat. Fire strikes are targeting the full depth of Russian battle formations.

“I thank our warriors for their efficiency and professionalism. The fight continues. Glory to Ukraine!” Syrskyi concluded.
