        Drones attacked a Russian space reconnaissance facility in the Stavropol region

        On the morning of 2 May, drones attacked a Russian space reconnaissance facility in the Stavropol region.

        According to the Telegram channel Exilenova+, the drones struck military unit No. 33443 near the village of Moskovskoye in the Izobilnensky district. Regional authorities confirmed the attack.

        This facility, known as Zvezda, is part of Russia’s space radio-electronic reconnaissance system and is subordinate to the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) of the Russian Federation.

        The complex is designed to intercept signals from foreign satellite systems, including commercial ones.

        This is not the first attack on Zvezda: on 4 July 2024, the facility was also attacked by drones. According to media reports, one Russian serviceman was wounded at that time.
