        On the morning of August 9, 2025, Russian military forces struck a minibus in the outskirts of Kherson with a drone. Two men were killed and at least 16 people were injured, including two in serious condition.

        According to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, the drone strike on a minibus traveling near Kherson occurred in the morning of August 9. The terrorist attack killed two men. Initially, ten people were reported injured, but the number later rose to sixteen. All the injured were hospitalized, with two sustaining serious injuries.

        The Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office announced that a criminal investigation has been launched into the attack under the article on war crimes. According to the investigation, at about 08:30, Russian forces dropped an explosive device from a drone onto the minibus. All victims were inside the vehicle at the time of the attack.
