On the night of July 31, the Alexander Dovzhenko National Film Studio in Kyiv was damaged in a Russian attack.
This was reported on the film studio’s official website.
“During the morning missile strike, the studio’s production facilities and part of the hotel were damaged. The blast wave knocked out about 90 windows. This is the most extensive damage since the start of the full-scale invasion, but fortunately, there were no casualties,” the statement said.

The administration reminded that the film studio is an important part of Ukraine’s cultural heritage — it was here that the iconic films “Earth,” “Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors,” and “Enthusiasm (Symphony of Donbas)” were created.
“These losses are not just material, but a deliberate attempt by the enemy to erase the memory and cultural codes that have been formed over centuries. Russia is once again demonstrating that the war is directed not only against the people, but also against the heritage, culture, and future of Ukraine,” the studio emphasized.
