        Death toll from strike on Kryvyi Rih shopping mall rises to 16, nine people missing

        The death toll from the Russian strike on a shopping and entertainment center in Kryvyi Rih has risen to 16. Another nine people, including two children, are preliminarily considered missing, while 130 people were injured.

        This was reported by Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.

        Rescuers continue working at the site of the attack. The large-scale fire caused by the strike has already been extinguished.

        State Emergency Service specialists are dismantling damaged structures of the shopping center and inspecting the site.

        Rescuers from Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Poltava and Donetsk regions have been involved in the operation. High-angle rescue specialists, canine teams and all of the city’s emergency services are working alongside firefighters.

        Psychologists from the State Emergency Service are continuously providing assistance to the injured and everyone who needs support.

        Russian forces struck the shopping mall in Kryvyi Rih on August 21.
