Ukraine is moving to a new phase in the development of its unmanned systems, focusing on integrating artificial intelligence and creating autonomous combat platforms. Such developments already exist and may soon become a “surprise” for the enemy.

This was stated by Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov during the Kyiv Security Forum.

According to him, both Ukraine and Russia have reached a certain limit in using existing drone control technologies, meaning that simply increasing their number no longer provides a decisive advantage.

Budanov said the next step will be the full integration of artificial intelligence into military systems.

He emphasized that Ukraine needs to transition to autonomous systems capable of independently identifying targets and maneuvering.

According to the Head of the Office of the President, such technologies are already being developed and could soon become an unexpected factor for the enemy.
