The Anti-Corruption Action Center (CPC) said that Ruslan Kravchenko left Ukraine after recording a video announcing suspicions against NABU Director Semen Kryvonos and a person close to the head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO). The CPC also questioned the procedural status and possible legal consequences of the suspicions announced by him.
The statement was published by the Anti-Corruption Action Center.
According to the organization, Kravchenko left Ukraine overnight. The CPC claims that such a departure was possible only with the relevant authorization.
The center also linked Kravchenko’s statement to the recent “Carthage” operation by NABU and SAPO regarding an alleged scheme to protect call centers involving employees of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The CPC believes that Kravchenko’s video statement may be a reaction to this case and questioned whether the suspicions he signed actually exist from a procedural standpoint and whether they will have legal consequences.
The organization also recalled that journalist Mykhailo Tkach had previously reported on documents that, according to him, could indicate preparations for further actions against NABU and SAPO.
The CPC separately stated that responsibility for further developments in the situation also lies with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Verkhovna Rada.
The information about Kravchenko leaving Ukraine has not been independently confirmed in the statement provided.
Earlier, it was reported that Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko said he had signed a notice of suspicion for NABU Director Semen Kryvonos. According to him, the NABU chief is suspected of forging official documents in order to obtain an especially large amount of unlawful benefit.
