Police established that Russia struck Zaporizhzhia with a Geran drone — earlier reports had described the attack as a missile strike. Among those injured in the attack were an infant and two police officers.

This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

As a result of the Russian strike, 12 people were injured.

“Among the injured are an infant and two police officers. All are receiving the necessary assistance. Following an examination, police explosive experts established that the occupying forces carried out the strike using a Geran-type UAV,” the statement said.

As clarified by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, 17 apartment buildings and non-residential buildings were damaged as a result of the Russian attack. Roofs, windows, and balconies were damaged.

“Utility workers have already begun eliminating the consequences — they are covering windows with OSB sheets. Charitable organizations are also working at the scene,” Fedorov wrote.
