Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has commented on the US president’s statement regarding the need to hold presidential elections in Ukraine. According to Zelenskyy, he is “always ready.”

The Ukrainian president was asked about the elections as he was leaving a hotel in the Parioli district, where the president usually stays during visits to Rome.
“I am always ready,” Zelenskyy replied.
The Ukrainian president also noted that he is counting on the help of Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and trusts her.
Recall that US President Donald Trump said that presidential elections must be held in Ukraine and added that Ukrainian officials are using the topic of war to avoid holding new elections. Also, according to Trump, Ukraine “is no longer a democracy” because there have been no elections there for a long time.
