As of today, 62,948 people are listed in the Register of Missing Persons under Special Circumstances. This was reported by the Commissioner for Missing Persons Artur Dobroserdov on Ukrainian Radio.
According to him, this figure includes both military and civilians. At the same time, the whereabouts or identities of the deceased have been established in 10,291 cases.
Dobrocerdov stressed that the Register mainly includes data on people who disappeared in the combat zone or in the occupied territories. It also records cases of disappearances related to emergencies, including natural or man-made disasters.
