A 9-year-old girl was killed and a teenage boy critically wounded in a Russian airstrike on a village in the Polohy district of Zaporizhzhia region. The attack targeted a residential area near the front line, according to Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration head Ivan Fedorov.
Fedorov said Russian forces struck the village with guided aerial bombs. One house was completely destroyed, and several other homes, vehicles, and outbuildings sustained damage from the blast wave.
The injured 16-year-old boy is in critical condition. According to Fedorov, he suffered multiple injuries, including an amputation and a concussion. He underwent surgery and is now in intensive care on mechanical ventilation. Doctors describe his condition as stably critical.
