The drones were developed by the Ukrainian company 3DTech, which was the first domestic manufacturer to successfully complete the codification procedure for its fibre optic unmanned aerial systems.

The drones are equipped with fibre coils ranging from 10 to 20 km in length and can carry combat payloads of various weights and purposes. Depending on the modification, they have different ranges.

The Ministry of Defence noted that the development of the drones began in 2023 in response to requests from the front lines.

In 2024, the first test batches were delivered to the military and demonstrated the potential for scaling up production. Today, 3DTech manufactures five models of fibre optic drones, which are supplied to the Defence Forces.
