Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russian forces struck a data center in Kyiv twice in the morning. Three people were injured in the first strike, including two children.
Zelenskyy said this in an address.
According to him, residential buildings, energy facilities and other civilian infrastructure in the Odesa, Kharkiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Poltava, Zhytomyr and Kyiv regions came under Russian attack overnight.
Three people were killed in the Zaporizhzhia region as a result of shelling, while a man was killed in Kyiv after a drone strike.
Zelenskyy also said that over the past week Russia launched more than 2,200 attack drones, around 1,650 aerial bombs and 38 missiles of various types at Ukraine. According to him, a significant share of the missiles were ballistic.
The president said Ukraine continues to work with European countries, the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia and other partners to strengthen its defenses.
At the same time, he said Ukraine lacks a “consistently strong position” from China, India, Brazil, South Africa and other G20 and Global South countries, which, according to him, have influence over Russia.
