Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck the Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery and a logistics hub in Russia’s Samara region over the past day. The results of previous strikes have also been confirmed, including the destruction of a Su-24M aircraft at the Saky airfield.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this.
According to him, the Novokuibyshevsk refinery is located about 1,000 kilometers from the front line. The president stressed that the facility generates millions of dollars in export revenues for Russia’s war machine.
Ukrainian units also struck a logistics hub in the Samara region. In addition, Ukrainian forces carried out operations in the Black Sea.
Zelenskyy also reported confirmed results of previous strikes. A Russian Su-24M aircraft and four pieces of airfield equipment were destroyed at the Saky airfield.
In Russia’s Bryansk region, according to the president, relay stations used to control drones and guide UAVs toward Ukrainian cities and villages were destroyed.
“I thank all the warriors of Ukraine’s Defense Forces for their effective work and for depriving Russia of its strategic rear,” Zelenskyy said.
The president described Ukraine’s long-range strikes as “sanctions” that continue to limit Russia’s military and economic potential and make the war more tangible inside the aggressor state.
