Zelenskyy appoints new ambassador to Poland

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dismissed Vasyl Bodnar from the post of ambassador to Turkey and appointed him ambassador to Poland.

The corresponding decrees #7Z8/2024 and #7Z9/2024 were published on the president’s website.

On June 21, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Vasyl Zvarych from the post of Ukraine’s ambassador to Poland and appointed him head of the Ukrainian foreign policy representation in the Czech Republic.


Vasyl Bodnar became Ukraine’s ambassador to Turkey in 2021. Since 2017, he worked as deputy foreign minister of Ukraine. In 2013-2015, he was an advisor to the Ukrainian Embassy in Turkey. And then for two more years – consul general in Istanbul.
