Ukrainian troops continue active operations in the border areas and on the territory of Russia, in particular in the Kursk and Belgorod regions.
This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy following a report by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.
According to the Head of State, the purpose of such operations in the enemy’s territory is to reduce enemy pressure on other frontlines and protect border communities, in particular in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. Zelenskyy emphasized that the war should return to where it came from. The President thanked the units involved in these actions.
“I thank the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, which has been holding positions in Vovchansk for almost a year. Also, the 25th separate airborne brigade, the 1st and 425th assault regiments that are defending the Pokrovsk direction. Thank you, soldiers. Thank you for your results. I would also like to mention the 32nd separate mechanized brigade, Pokrovsk direction – thank you. And also the Belgorod region. The 225th assault regiment has been active these days. Well done, guys,” Zelenskyy said.
