Zelensky urged the Indian prime minister to abandon neutrality and side with Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi can influence the end of Russia’s war against Ukraine.

He said this in an interview with the Times of India.

According to him, blocking the Russian economy, blocking cheap energy resources, blocking Russia’s defense-industrial complex “will reduce Moscow’s ability to wage wars against us.”

“You cannot be neutral because that will mean you are on Russia’s side. There can be no neutrality between the aggressor and the victim. I see it as covert support for Russia. Modi is the prime minister of a really huge country in terms of population, economy, influence and impact. Such a country cannot just say we are interested in ending the war. Blocking the Russian economy, blocking cheap energy resources, blocking Russia’s defense-industrial complex will reduce Moscow’s ability to wage war against us,” Zelensky said.
