President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the United States had offered Russia an unconditional ceasefire, but Moscow had not yet given an adequate response. He said this in his video address.
According to him, this situation demonstrates Russia’s unwillingness to compromise, and pressure on the aggressor should be increased. He thanked the partners who understand this and support the necessary sanctions decisions.
The President also said that he had a conversation with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi on the situation at the front and in the areas where Ukrainian forces operate on the territory of Russia. He emphasised that the Ukrainian military was active, preventing the enemy from breaking through to Sumy and Kharkiv regions. Zelenskyy thanked the defenders for their resilience – from the border regions to the south.
