Zelenskiy: Russia deliberately shells medical facilities and civilian objects

In his evening address, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy spoke about the consequences of the latest Russian attacks that took place the day before.

According to him, the work to clear the rubble in Kyiv caused by yesterday’s rocket attack has been completed. At the same time, work continues in Kherson after an oncology clinic was targeted by Russian aircraft.

‘Fortunately, there were no casualties, as patients and medical staff managed to take cover. This dispensary operated even during the war in a limited mode, providing critical services, including radiotherapy treatment. The Russians could not help but know that it was a medical facility. This is a mockery of people,’ Zelenskiy stressed.

The President also spoke about the shelling of Kharkiv, Nikopol and settlements in Donetsk region, calling it ‘deliberate terror’ for which the Russian military is also receiving awards.

‘These inhumans from the Russian aviation will be punished. We will continue to strike at their military bases and military infrastructure used to terrorise our people. Our defence is fair,’ Zelenskiy said.

He thanked the international partners who support Ukraine in its defence efforts, as well as contribute to increased military spending and modernisation of arsenals in Europe. The President also expressed gratitude to those who help to increase sanctions pressure on Russia.

According to Zelenskiy, Ukraine will continue to work on strengthening its defence capabilities and demand that the aggressor be held accountable for war crimes.
