Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces struck five elements of Russia’s air defense system on Russian territory on the night of August 8–9. Three vessels from Russia’s shadow fleet — an oil tanker and two bulk carriers — were also attacked in the Black Sea.
This was reported by Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Robert Brovdi.
According to him, a position of the S-400 Triumf surface-to-air missile system was hit in Gelendzhik, Krasnodar Krai. Brovdi said that on August 8, between 09:25 and 12:51, the position launched six missiles.
According to Brovdi, the S-400 position in Gelendzhik burned for around three hours after the strike.
In addition, a Tor surface-to-air missile system was hit in the settlement of Pudovyi, Rostov Oblast, while a Pantsir-S1 air defense missile and gun system was struck in Yeysk, Krasnodar Krai.
A Podlyot-K1 radar station was hit in Holovativka, Rostov Oblast, and a Kasta 2E2 radar station was struck in Latonovo.
The Unmanned Systems Forces also attacked one oil tanker and two bulk carriers in the Black Sea, which Brovdi described as part of Russia’s “shadow fleet.”
The strikes on the S-400 position, the tanker and one of the bulk carriers were carried out by the 413th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment “Raid.” The 412th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade “Nemesis” was also involved in the attacks on the bulk carriers.
