On the night of 18 January 2025, the enemy carried out a massive air attack using 39 Shahed strike UAVs and imitation drones of various types, the Ukrainian Air Force Command reports. The attack was carried out from the directions of Millerovo, Bryansk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia). In addition, the aggressor fired four Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from Voronezh and Bryansk regions.
As of 08:00, two ballistic missiles were shot down in Kyiv region, as well as 24 attack drones in Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kyiv, Khmelnytsky, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Dnipro, Kherson and Donetsk regions.
Another 14 enemy imitator drones were lost without any negative consequences.
In Kyiv, people were killed in the Shevchenkivskyi district as a result of downed ballistic missiles. The production building of a company was partially destroyed, and residential buildings, the entrance to the subway, cars and the main water supply system were damaged.
In Zaporizhzhia, a rocket attack on a business damaged houses and vehicles. The victims are receiving the necessary assistance and search operations are underway.
