Ukraine has adopted new decisions on launching the production of various types of jet engines and accelerating the production of interceptor drones. The relevant issues were discussed at a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
This was reported by the Office of the President of Ukraine.
One of the key issues was the results of tests of systems designed to intercept Russian jet-powered Shahed drones. Participants of the Staff meeting heard reports on interception rates and the experience of units operating such systems.
“The main systems that can strengthen our defense have been identified. We are accelerating production,” President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
According to him, new decisions have also been made on launching the production of various types of jet engines in Ukraine.
Separately, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine presented a report on Russia’s technological plans for 2027, its production capabilities, and supply schemes for components used in weapons manufacturing.
Zelenskyy noted that one of the priorities for Ukrainian diplomacy should be new sanctions targeting the schemes Russia uses to produce drones and missiles, especially ballistic missiles.
The Staff also focused on protecting data centers and other critical communications infrastructure. Additional decisions were adopted to ensure their uninterrupted operation.
“These decisions must be fully implemented at all levels, and this is the personal responsibility of government officials and the heads of the special services,” Zelenskyy stressed.
