US President-elect Donald Trump has announced “little progress” in resolving the war in Ukraine, although he did not provide specific details.
During his speech, he noted that the death toll “on both sides” was much higher than previously reported.
“We are trying to stop the war, this terrible war that is going on in Ukraine with Russia. We are going to… We have made a little progress. It is difficult. It is unpleasant. People are being killed on a scale that no one has ever seen,” Trump said.
Trump also said that he had received signals from Kyiv about the desire to reach a settlement of the conflict.
