The Security Service of Ukraine has found Chinese parts in the Geran strike drones that Russia used during a massive attack on Kyiv on the night of 4 July.
According to the SBU, components marked with the Chinese manufacturer Suzhou Ecod Precision Manufacturing Co., Ltd. were found in the drones.
“These components, in particular the launch catapult mounts, were seized from the drones used by Russian occupiers to attack the Ukrainian capital on the night of 3 to 4 July. The SBU is currently gathering all evidence of the Russian Federation’s terrorist attack on Kyiv and documenting the crimes of the Russians,” the statement said.
The SBU has documented the Russian attack as a war crime. A criminal case has been opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga also reported that a Chinese component was found in the Russian drone. According to him, the building of the Chinese Consulate General in Odesa suffered minor damage as a result of the Russian attack last night.
