The death toll from a missile strike on Sumy has risen to 32 people, including two children. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on social media. According to him, more than 80 people were injured, including ten children. All victims are being provided with the necessary assistance.
The President stressed that Russian strikes on peaceful cities deserve only harsh condemnation and require real action by the international community. ‘It is very important for everyone in the world not to be silent, not to remain indifferent… We need to put pressure on Russia to end the war and guarantee security for people,’ he said.
Zelenskyy also reminded that for the second month in a row, the Russian president has been ignoring the United States’ proposal for a full and unconditional ceasefire. ‘Unfortunately, they in Moscow are confident that they can afford to continue killing. We need to act to change the situation,’ the Head of State added.
