Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal held an offsite meeting of the Government in the Kharkiv region.
According to the Prime Minister, Kharkiv region is among the regions that have received the most funds this year.
Almost UAH 16 billion has already been allocated as a subvention:
Regarding fortifications, Shmyhal reported 99.9% of the work completed – almost 800 strongholds have been built and equipped.
“The Ministry of Defense has been instructed to ensure that all fortifications are equipped with drainage systems for normal drainage. The necessary changes have been made to the documentation, and the work has been completed,” the Prime Minister said.
Special attention was paid to demining in the region, as Kharkiv region is one of the most mine-contaminated areas.
“Currently, about 320 sappers from various government organizations are working on demining here using 24 mechanical demining machines. In addition, there are about 400 more sappers from non-governmental and international organizations in the region,” Shmyhal said.
