As of 16:00 on 5 February, 50 combat engagements took place at the frontline. This was reported by the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The enemy continues to try to break through the Ukrainian defences, despite significant losses. The Russians are most active at the Pokrovske, Siverske, Kupianske and Lyman directions.
Situation at the frontline:
- In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy attacked twice in the area of Kozacha Lopan. One attack was repelled, the other is ongoing.
- In the Kupyansk sector, seven attacks were registered in the areas of Zahryzove, Petropavlivka, Pishchane and Nova Kruhlyakivka. Two of them are ongoing.
- In the Liman sector, six attacks were registered in the areas of Novolyubivka, Kopanky, Zelenyi Hai, Kolodyazy and Torske. Two battles are ongoing.
- In the Siversk sector, the occupants attacked Ukrainian positions eight times in the direction of Siversk and Verkhnekamianske. Six attacks were repelled, and two battles are ongoing.
- In the Kramatorsk sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled two attacks in the areas of Chasovyi Yar and Stupochky, and another battle is ongoing. The enemy launched an air strike on Stupochki.
- In the Toretsk sector, four enemy attacks were repelled near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka. The enemy launched air strikes on Kleban-Byk and Katerynivka.
- In the Pokrovsk sector, the enemy launched 12 attacks in the areas of Vodiane Druha, Yelizavetivka, Promin, Pishchane, Dachne and Ulaklivka. Eight attacks were repelled, and several more are ongoing.
- In the Novopavlivka sector, the occupants tried to break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defences in the vicinity of Kostiantynopil – two attacks were repelled and another battle is ongoing. The enemy also launched air strikes on Komar, Rozlyv, Burlatske and Bahatyr.
- In the Kursk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled one attack, and four more battles are ongoing. Russians made 202 artillery attacks.
- In the Gulyaypol sector, the occupants conducted air strikes on Gulyaypol and Novopol.
No active hostilities have been registered in the Orikhivske and Prydniprovskyi sectors.
Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold the line, inflicting losses on the enemy. The situation on the frontline remains tense.
