Syrskyi ordered each brigade to set up a recruiting unit

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi has ordered each brigade commander to organize a full-time recruitment unit to attract volunteers.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“This innovation will allow commanders to improve the organization and support of volunteer recruitment activities,” the statement said.

This became possible due to changes made on October 1, 2024, to Government Resolution No. 560. According to this decree, commanders have the right to accept volunteers directly to military units, bypassing territorial recruitment and social support centers.

Prior to these innovations, the Armed Forces operated recruitment centers in certain branches of the military, such as the Land Forces, the Navy, the Air Assault Forces, the Special Operations Forces, and the Territorial Defense Forces.
