        Syrskyi: 16 km² near Pokrovsk de-occupied in recent weeks

        Over the past few weeks, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have liberated about 16 square kilometers of Ukrainian land in the Pokrovsk sector as part of counteroffensives.

        Oleksandr Syrskyi reported this on his Facebook page.

        The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the successes of the Defense Forces in the Pokrovsk sector after three days of work in the area of responsibility of the “Donetsk” group of troops.

        “We are continuing the defense operation, conducting counteroffensive actions and have some success. Over the past weeks, we have liberated about 16 square kilometers of territory in the area of Udachne, Kotlyne and Shevchenko,” the statement said.

        According to the Commander-in-Chief, Ukrainian troops repel about 30 Russian assaults near Pokrovsk every day.

        The Chief of the Armed Forces also said that since the beginning of the year, the Ukrainian military has destroyed or disabled 4,910 enemy artillery systems. And since January 2024, in a year and less than four months, the Russian army has lost 17,960 artillery systems.
