Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga announced China’s decision to provide Ukraine with an additional package of humanitarian energy aid. The agreement was reached during bilateral talks in Munich.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga held talks in Munich with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. According to Sibiga, the meeting was substantive and productive. The parties discussed the prospects for the development of mutually beneficial trade and bilateral relations based on mutual respect for territorial integrity. Ukraine also confirmed its interest in contacts with China at the highest level.
“We discussed peace efforts and China’s important role in helping to end the war. I informed my Chinese colleague about the situation on the battlefield, Russian attacks on our energy system and the damage caused to Chinese companies as a result of Russian strikes. I am grateful to Beijing for its decision to provide Ukraine with an additional package of humanitarian energy assistance,” the statement said.
Andriy Sybiha invited Wang Yi to visit Ukraine and thanked him for the invitation to visit China.
