Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the offensive of Russian troops, inflicting significant losses in manpower and equipment. According to the General Staff, as of 16:00, 117 combat engagements have been recorded since the beginning of the day.
Shelling of border areas
Russians continue to shell border settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation. Under enemy fire were:
- Khrinivka, Bila Bereza, Vintorivka, Chuykivka, Bratenytsia – artillery shelling;
- Baranivka – an attack from multiple rocket launchers.
Main areas of fighting.
- Kharkiv sector: There were 5 combat engagements near Hoptivka, Hlyboke, Vysoka Yaruga and Starytsia. One attack is still ongoing.
- Kupyansk sector: The enemy stormed positions near Kucherivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Bohuslavka and Nova Krytynivka. One firefight is ongoing.
- Liman sector: Occupants conducted 23 attacks, including near Zelenyi Hai, Novoyehorivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka and Serebryanka. 16 attacks remain incomplete.
- Siversk sector: Russian proxies attacked 4 times in the areas of Bilohorivka, Verkhnekamianske and Vyymka. Three battles are still ongoing.
- Kramatorsk sector: 2 attacks near Chasovyi Yar and Stupochky were repelled. One more firefight is ongoing.
- Toretsk sector: 4 attacks near Toretsk and Druzhba, two of them ongoing.
- Pokrovsk sector: 17 attacks were registered in the areas of Novoukrainka, Novovasylivka, Pokrovsk and other localities. Thirteen attacks were repelled, four battles are ongoing.
- Kurakhove sector: 9 attacks near Sontsivka, Staryi Terni and Kurakhove. 5 clashes are ongoing.
- Vremivka sector: 23 enemy attacks in the areas of Vremivka, Novosilka, Blahodatne and other localities. 7 engagements are ongoing.
- Orikhiv sector: One attack in the direction of Novoandriivka.
- Prydniprovskyi sector: One enemy attack was repelled.
General situation
No significant changes were recorded in other frontline areas. In the operational zone in the Kursk region, 10 enemy attacks were repelled, and 11 more are ongoing. The invaders made about 300 attacks.
