On the night of 10 July, Russia launched another combined strike on Kyiv, using drones and various types of missiles. The attack caused extensive damage to the city, numerous fires, smoke, as well as casualties and injuries.
According to Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, two people were killed and 13 others were injured.
- In the Shevchenkivskyi district, debris hit a residential building, causing a fire on the top floor. Debris was also reported to have fallen near a petrol station.
- In the Solomyanskyi district, debris caused a fire on the roof of a non-residential building. In addition, debris fell at another address.
- In the Darnytskyi district, fires broke out in garages, at a petrol station and in the courtyard of a residential building.
- In the Holosiivskyi district, a truck caught fire due to falling debris.
- In the Podilskyi district, debris from a UAV fell on the territory of a non-residential building.
Due to the significant amount of smoke in the city, Tkachenko urged residents of the capital to close their windows after returning from shelters.
The attack lasted almost 11 hours — from 18:05 on 09.07 to 05:03 on 10.07.
