Russians are preparing for mechanized assaults in Zaporizhzhya Region – AFU

On Vremivsky direction Russian occupation troops are preparing to use armored vehicles not only for the transportation of assault groups, but also for fire support of infantry.

This was reported by the speaker of the defense forces of the south Vladyslav Voloshin with reference to intelligence data in a commentary to LIGA.net.

According to him, the use of armored vehicles to support infantry is planned in the area of Priyutnoye and Levadnoye Zaporizhzhya region.

Voloshyn noted that at one of the training grounds in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhya region occupants held exercises on such use of armored vehicles. In addition, they are preparing to more actively conduct combat operations under the cover of drones and the use of various anti-imaging cloaks.

“In modern warfare, equipment is not a panacea. It is quite vulnerable in modern combat conditions, so it is not always effective. Especially in the south, where the battle line actually runs along the steppe zone, the equipment is far visible and it is easier to work on it with drones or artillery,” the speaker emphasized.

At the same time, he noted that the Russians continue to use buggies and motorcycles to move quickly between positions and deliver personnel and certain types of weapons.

Voloshin noted that this allows them to move quickly and not be blown up on minefields. On the other hand, Ukrainian drones are effectively targeting them.
