On October 20, a Russian attack damaged an operating room at the Academician M.D. Strazhesko Institute of Cardiology in Kyiv. One patient was injured, while no deaths were reported.

This was reported by Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi.

According to him, the strike hit the sixth floor of the building, where the operating room is located.

“The Russians have struck a hospital again. This time, they hit the operating room of the Strazhesko Institute of the National Academy of Medical Sciences in Kyiv,” Koretskyi wrote.

The injured patient received all necessary medical assistance.

Koretskyi noted that this was already the second Russian strike on the institute. Last year, the fourth floor of the building was hit.

The institute treats patients with heart disease from across Ukraine. Doctors there perform surgeries and provide care for people recovering from heart attacks.

The prime minister thanked the doctors and medical staff who continue working and caring for patients.
