        Russian forces drop 1.5-ton bomb on Kharkiv region, killing one civilian

        Today, May 2, approximately between 4:20 p.m. and 4:40 p.m., Russian armed forces launched a series of air strikes on the town of Kupiansk in Kharkiv region. A civilian was killed as a result of the massive air attack.

        This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

        A number of houses and farm buildings were damaged in the city.

        The body of a dead man was recovered from the rubble of one of the houses. According to preliminary information, another man is still under the rubble. Search and rescue operations are being carried out taking into account the security situation in the city.

        Law enforcement officers removed fragments of an aircraft munition from the site where the man was killed. It has been preliminarily established that the Russian army used a FAB-1500 from a UMPC. A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of war crimes (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
