On October 20, Russian forces struck the Kyiv–Odesa highway in the settlement of Chabany in Ukraine’s Kyiv region, near a shopping centre. Three people were killed and four others injured in the drone strike.
The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported the attack.
The strike hit an area near a shopping centre in Chabany. Several vehicles caught fire on the road following the attack.
The number of people killed and injured is still being confirmed.
Emergency services are working at the scene. Traffic has been restricted along this section of the road.
“Another enemy strike against civilians who were simply travelling to work or going about their daily business,” wrote Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
